Christchurch Angling Club was founded in 1938 and has grown to be one of the largest clubs in Southern England. Members are able to fish the very best of the famous Hampshire Avon including the Royalty and Somerley Estate waters.
The club also controls many miles of the Dorset Stour and numerous lakes suitable for the specimen hunter, match angler or pleasure fisherman.
Our game section offers salmon fishing on the Royalty and Somerley, a new put and take trout fishing venue, catch and release brown trout on the Ibsley feeder streams and some of the best Sea Trout fishing available. Bass and mullet fishing in Christchurch harbour.
SUBSCRIPTION RATES
Adult Full Membership £120.00 Adult membership is just that it applies to adults between the ages of 18 and 70 and entitles the member to fish all CAC waters for coarse and game fish. At present this is approximately 28 river fisheries and 40 lakes in and around the Christchurch area of Dorset. As an adult member you will be entitled to attend and vote at general meetings, be eligible for committee posts, and will be more than welcome at work-parties. Please note there is a £25.00 joining fee for new members and renewals received late.
Concessionary/Disabled Membership £85.00 This membership is the same as the adult membership but is for available to those either over 70 years of age, or over 65 years of age with 5 consecutive years of membership, or those registered disabled. Please note there is a £25.00 joining fee for new members and renewals received late.
Junior Membership £50.00 This membership is for those between the ages of 14 and 18 years. It enables the member to fish the same waters as an adult member, however, for safety reasons the junior will have to be accompanied by an adult at some fisheries. Juniors are able to attent the general meetings but may not vote at them. Please note there is a £10.00 joining fee for new members and renewals received late.
Minor Membership £5.00 This membership is for those below the age of 14 years. When fishing the Minor member must be accompanied by an adult member or adult guest at all times and is the responsibility of the adult. One adult guest ticket is available free-of-charge with a minor membership. Some waters may not be available to minor members, and like junior members they may not vote at general meetings.
Additional Fees
Non-Angling Guest £10.00 This allows a non-angling guest to accompany a member whilst fishing. Only one Non-Angling guest is allowed per a member. As a guest it does not allow the person to vote at the general meetings. Please note that this is in addition to the membership fee.
Somerley Salmon Permit £135.00 This allows the fishing for Salmon on the River Avon at the Somerley Estate. Please note that this is in addition to the membership fee.
Migratory Fish Permit £5.00
